170226-N-FT178-042 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 26, 2017) Sailors are served food on the fantail of Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) during a steel beach picnic. Lake Champlain is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of the U.S. 3rd Fleet in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
