An operator from Morocco's special operations forces holds security on the objective while training for a direct action raid. The training was part of Exercise Flintlock 2017, which brings over 2,000 special operations personnel to seven African nations in order to develop interoperability and enhance partner capacity to counter the threat from violent extremist organizations.
