Lance Cpl. Luke J. Evans, a combat engineer with Alpha Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) chops down a tree to make a clear area for nearby howitzers to safely fire their ordnance without any obstructions on Forward Operating Base Zeebrugee, Sept 12. Since their arrival on the FOB, Sept. 2, engineers from 9th ESB have been building structures to improve living conditions and security.
