Thomas III, Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command welcomes an athlete from USSOCOM’s military adaptive sports program during a breakfast at the MacDill Base Dining Facility prior to the start of USSOCOM’s 2017 DOD Warrior Games tryouts held at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Feb. 27, 2017. The USSOCOM Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) military adaptive sports assists in both the physical and mental process to improve the overall health and welfare of wounded, ill, or injured special operations forces, through exposure to adaptive team sports and activities.
