103rd Rescue Squadron Pararescuemen and Combat Rescue Officers with the 106th Rescue Wing assigned to the New York Air National Guard, jump from a C-17 Globemaster III, assigned to the Hawaii Air National Guard 154th Wing, into the waters off Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, March 7, 2017. The training was conducted to test new spacecraft recovery techniques and equipment that will be used to recover the crew module of NASA's Orion spacecraft.The Airmen were testing an an inflatable device known as the Front Porch, intended to be mated to the Orion spacecraft and used to support astronauts who make a water landing following a flight.
