AFGHANISTAN - Airmen with the 809th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers, better known as RED HORSE, watch as a C-17 "Globemaster III" takes off from the runway they recently completed. The runway took nine months to complete but will benefit International Security Assistance Forces by providing a place for the C-17 to land. The completed runway provides a new asset to the Marines of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) and coalition forces operating from the FOB by moving three times the amount of cargo and troops into the area.
