Lance Cpl. Michael Whitman, a combat engineer for Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, fights through the pain caused by Oleoresin Capsicum spray in his eyes while conducting non-lethal weapons and tactics training aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 10. The Marines sprayed with OC had to demonstrate the capability to fight off an attacker and apprehend individuals covered with the spray.
