Paratroopers from Battery A, 1st Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, and their Iraqi army counterparts conducted Operation Portland Oct. 28, 2006, in Abu Ajil, Iraq, just east of Tikrit. Their target was a group of insurgents who are responsible for numerous indirect fire attacks on Iraqi and coalition operations bases.
