Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) stand in formation as the ship pulls alongside the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser (T-AO 187) to conduct a replenishment-at-sea during a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
