An honor guard raises the American flag during the reopening ceremony for the Armed Forces Retirement Home. The flag was flying over the center when Hurricane Katrina damaged the building. The home welcomed back 135 residents who were evacuated to Washington, D.C., after Hurricane Katrina decimated the complex. More prior residents are expected to arrive at their new home throughout the month.
