Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Luis Lopez, a Tucson, Ariz. native and a drill sergeant with Alpha Company, 1-415th, 95th Training Division (Initial Entry Training), manuevers through an obstacle during the 108th Training Command (IET) Best Warrior Competition at Camp Bullils, Texas, March 19-24, 2017. Lopez, who works as a civilian with the Arizona Department of Corrections, says that being a Citizen-Soldier "means that I have to maintain physical and mental fitness in order to be ready to deploy and defend the U.S. Constitution and defend the American people. No other responsibility is greater than this. It is like living a double life, and you have to learn how to switch gears between the two. It can be challenging at times, but that is why it is called serving." (U.S. Army photo by Maj. Michelle Lunato/released)
