Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) made pilgrimage to Camp Fallujah's Chapel of Hope Monday, Oct 30th, to watch their fellow service members in a Halloween costume contest. Dressed as partygoers from the movie Animal House, from left to right are Sgt. James E. Tragear, a 22-year-old native of Marquette, Mich. and motor transport mechanic, Lance Cpl. Brandon A. Langston, a 21-year-old native of Maplesville, Ala. and a heavy equipment mechanic, and Cpl. Shaun M. Brown, a 21-year-old native of Ada, Ok. and a heavy equipment mechanic, all with Maintenance Company, CLB-5. "It lets people do goofy stuff to get into a good mood, and to get closer as a family while we're out here (in Iraq)," said Brown. "Marines from one company sitting next to another company, laughing together ...it helps morale tremendously... (and) part of the commander's intent was to build unit cohesion," said 2nd Lt. Christ J. Pappas, a 29-year-old native of Ocala, Fl, and Security Company's executive officer. Combat Logistics Battalion 5 is deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi Reconstruction.
