170320-N-FT178-003 U.S. 7TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 20, 2017) Seaman Kevin Sanchez, from Queens, New York, left, and Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Anthony Perry, from Kissimmee, Florida, remove chocks and chains from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Black Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, on the flight deck of Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) during flight operations. Lake Champlain is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of the U.S. 3rd Fleet in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
