More than 300 family members attended government briefings Jan. 28, 2017, at the Marriott Mesa, Arizona, in an effort to gain more information on the cases of their missing service members. In addition to gaining new information regarding their respective cases, the families were also able to connect with one another and share their personal stories. These events are conducted by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) up to eight times a year in major metropolitan areas across the country.
