Jeffrey Ward, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), oversees the ship’s restricted maneuvers while Ensign Melissa Trykowski, from Chardon, Ohio, and Ensign Ben Bittle, from Rockwall, Texas, check bearings as Bonhomme Richard approaches the Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO 197) prior to a replenishment-at-sea.
