Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel A. Dailey addresses attendees on how to connect transitioning Soldiers to civilian careers at the 2017 Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program Symposium held in Louisville, Ky., March 29. The Army’s SFL-TAP is the program all transitioning Soldiers attend when deciding to leave active duty service. The program teaches career and civilian skills such as resume writing, applying to civilian jobs, interview techniques, entrepreneurship opportunities, and much more. Approximately 100,000 Soldiers transition from the active duty Army to the civilian sector each year.
