EAST CHINA SEA (March 30, 2017) Ensign Ben Bittle observes as Ensign Melissa Trykowski uses an alidade to check bearings of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) prior to a replenishment-at-sea. Bonhomme Richard is the flagship of it's expeditionary strike group, which is on a routine patrol operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance warfighting readiness and posture forward as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
