Dean Parker, a contractor for the 167th Airlift Wing, fabricates plugs designed to keep birds from nesting in C-17 aircraft engines. Parker can make or fix just about anything on the aircraft that is made with fabric including pilot and passenger seats, under-floor insulation blankets and foreign object and debris bags. He's completed 724 pieces since the beginning of the fiscal year. Last year he fabricated more than 2000 items.
