German jumpmaster Staff Sgt. Volker Metzig with Luftlande Brigade 31 teaches German jump commands to Paratroopers with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, in a mock-door trainer at Fort Bragg, N.C., Oct. 5, as part of Operation Federal Eagle. During three days of jumping led by German jumpmasters with assistance from American jumpmasters, hundreds of U.S. Paratroopers will earn German parachute wings.
