Col. (ret.) Ralph Jenkins, 510th Fighter Squadron commander, poses for a
photo while serving as a fighter pilot during World War II. During one of
the last reunions with his squadron members a pact was made that when the
last two surviving members remained they would raise a toast of brandy to
their fallen comrades. In an effort that spanned more than 2,800 miles, a
bottle of 1945 Calvados Brandy has been delivered to Jenkins to make this
