An F/A-18C Hornet from the Death Rattlers of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 323 performs a touch-and-go on board the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Navy pilots practice touch-and-go maneuvers to hone their skills should they not catch an arresting wire while attempting to land on board an aircraft carrier. The F-18 is an all-weather attack aircraft that can also be used as a fighter. Ronald Reagan is currently completing carrier qualifications and flight deck certifications.
