PACIFIC OCEAN (April 12, 2017) U.S. Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Raymond Dalope, a native of San Jose and assigned to the "Blue Diamonds" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 146, cleans the wing of an F/A-18E Super Hornet aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), April 12, 2017, in the Pacific Ocean. Nimitz is currently underway conducting Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group's mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
