170412-N-KD168-030 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 12, 2017) Sailors move an AV-8B Harrier, attached to the Blue Knights of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced), across the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). Bataan and its ready group, are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
