Media personnel view a U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon as it takes off during Exercise MAX THUNDER 17’s media day at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 20, 2017. Local and national media were given the opportunity to view the aircraft participating in Max Thunder up-close and get interviews with subject matter experts of the exercise and the aircraft. Max Thunder serves as an opportunity for U.S. and ROK forces to train together and sharpen tactical skills for the defense of the Asia-Pacific region. It is an annual military flying exercise built to promote interoperability between U.S. and ROK forces. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Carlos Jimenez)
