A six-person team with the 21st Century Sailor office’s operational stress control program is on board to provide training in stress control to Bonhomme Richard’s officers, chief petty officers and petty officers. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
