Soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division joined Kansas State University faculty, alum and students in formally dedicating Memorial Stadium for the 48 Soldiers who attended K-State prior to World War I and who ultimately gave their lives during the Great War, April 21 in Manhattan, Kansas. During the ceremony, Brig. Gen. Patrick Frank, acting senior commander of the 1st Inf. Div. and Fort Riley, joined by retired Col. Mike McDermott, laid a wreath in honor of Capt.
