U.S. Marine Sgt. Bryan Martincic, a rifleman with Marine Rotational Force Europe 17.1, gives suppressing fire during platoon attacks that were part of Exercise Platinum Eagle 17.2 at Babadag Training Area, Romania, May 3, 2017. The live-fire range was the culminating event of Platinum Eagle and included indirect fire supporting elements, assault breeching, and a main effort of riflemen using skills and tactics learned over the exercise to assault a position. The trans-Atlantic strategic relationship between the U.S. and Europe has been forged over the past seven decades and is built on a foundation of shared values, experiences and visions.
