The Navy Women’s dragon boat team watch other teams race during the 43rd Naha Harii Festival Dragon Boat races May 5 in Naha City, Okinawa, Japan. Fifty-one teams participated in the races. Dragon boat races started in the 14th century to honor the god of the sea. Now, companies across Okinawa form teams to compete in the races, which have become an international event.
