A crewmember from the Coast Guard Cutter Rush hands a toy to one of the children rescued more than 2,300 miles south of the Hawaiian Islands Nov. 6. The family had been missing more than five days on the open ocean before being located by the New Zealand Air Force and rescued by the Rush. The Rush then transported the family to Butaritari Atoll.
