U.S. Air Force members of the 174th Attack Wing in Syracuse, N.Y., emplace
sandbags to reinforce banks to prevent and reduce flood water damage in
Wayne County, Williamson, N.Y., May 9, 2017. The crew of six personnel
carefully and strategically placed 180 sandbags, weighing 30 pounds each, in
a residential area to divert the flow of water. The Airmen also filled
sandbags by hand at the Town of Williamson Highway Department in Williamson,
N.Y. as part of the state's emergency response to the shoreline threat of
flooding from rising waters on Lake Ontario. The group provided filling,
bagging, stacking, and palletizing of sandbags for emergency response to
