Paul Zimmerman, a platoon commander with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, informs his platoon of the sequence of events for alive-fire event as part of Composite Training Unit Exercise aboard USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), May 8, 2017. The live-fire event provided an opportunity for Marines and Sailors to engage moving targets while aboard ship and enhanced their marksmanship skills. During COMPTUEX, the 15th MEU and America Amphibious Ready Group will exercise a wide range of capabilities, from disaster response and maritime security operations to sea control and complex warfighting.
