Philippine Soldiers rescue injured personnel from a multistory training platform using rappel techniques as part of Balikatan 2017 at Camp Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela, May 15, 2017. This training session was the culmination of weeks of training for real world rescue scenarios between the U.S. and the Philippines. Balikatan is an annual U.S.- Philippine military bilateral exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations.
