(ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam) – A French Marine conducts a foot patrol as part of field training during Exercise Jeanne D’Arc 2017 on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, May 14, 2017. U.S. and French Marines conducted partnered training on Guam and Tinian. Jeanne D’Arc is a French-led exercise aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships and exercising freedom of navigation operations across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The goal of Jeanne D’Arc is to facilitate interaction between militaries, which enhance our combined readiness in response to crises and disaster throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
