Spc. Collin M. Duclos, a motor transport operator with the 539th Transportation Company, an Active Component unit from Fort Wainwright, Alaska, performs maintenance on the side of a Palletized Load System vehicle in preparation for a National Training Center rotation with the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Mississippi Army National Guard, on May 23, 2017, at Fort Irwin, California.
“Planning and maintenance keeps the 539th prepared for the 155th,” said 2nd Lt. Evan L. Oncay, a platoon leader with the 539th. “Without serviceable vehicles, we can't do anything to help.”
The NTC rotation allows the 155th and 539th to build cohesion under its rigorous conditions and maintain combat readiness for future missions. (Mississippi National Guard photo by Pfc. Jarvis Mace, 102d Public Affairs Detachment.)
