Lt. Drew Borovies and Master Chief Petty Officer Denise Becker, hospital corpsman, assigned to Maritime Civil Affairs and Security Training Command, meet with locals to coordinate site visits for potential projects while supporting Pacific Partnership 2010. The annual Navy operation is conducted by U.S. Pacific Fleet and provides humanitarian and civic assistance to strengthen alliances, improve U.S. and partner capacity to deliver civil assistance and improve security cooperation among partner nations. MCAST Command provides maritime civil affairs support to operational commanders in support of U.S. maritime strategy.
