Sgt. Robert L. Jarboe fires a Marine’s rifle to see what is wrong with the rifle’s combat optic during the first day of live fire at the Cherry Point rifle range, Nov. 1. “Sgt. Jarboe is an excellent coach,” said Lance Cpl. Matt J. Fisher, a fellow range coach for Cherry Point. “He has a way of coaching that is almost methodical.”
