An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron 115 lands aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. George Washington is on patrol in the western Pacific Ocean and preparing to participate in exercise Keen Sword 2010, a biennial exercise with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Keen Sword allows the U.S. and Japan to practice and evaluate the coordination procedures and interoperability elements required to effectively and mutually respond to the defense of Japan or to a regional crisis or contingency situation in the Asia-pacific region.
