NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del.- Carol A. Timmons, adjutant general, Delaware National Guard, and Thurgood Marshall Elementary students have a moment to take a photo following a demonstration at the Delaware Air National Guard Base. Thurgood Marshall Elementary students visited the DANG on May 25, 2017. Approximately 28 students visited the base as part of the Thurgood Marshall’s Fourth Grade Class Celebration of HERO Week. Lt. Col. Bradley Sams of the 166th Airlift Wing hosted the event for the students of Kristin Tuthill’s fourth grade class. Students had the opportunity to meet with members of the 166th Airlift Wing Fireteam and Explosive Ordinance Team at the firehouse, and tour a DANG C130H aircraft with members of the 166th Operations Group.
