Brig. Gen. Mark Anderson, Wisconsin’s deputy adjutant general for Army, presents the brigade colors to incoming 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team commander Col. John Oakley during a formal change of command ceremony June 3 at Fort McCoy, Wis.
Oakley follows Col. Michael George as commander of the Red Arrow Brigade. The 32nd IBCT is the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s largest brigade, and descends from the historic 32nd Division which formed 100 years ago as the United States prepared to enter World War I.
