OKINAWA, Japan (June 5, 2017) Tugboats guide the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as the ship arrives to White Beach Naval Facility to embark Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU). During the visit, the ship will embark 31st MEU personnel, vehicles and equipment. Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, is on a routine patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to serve as a forward-capability for any type of contingency.
