Paul Worley walks with his family while holding ”Purple Heart,” a Kemp’s ridley sea turtle, prior to its release back into the Atlantic Ocean after being rehabilitated from a fishing hook. Worley, attached Command Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, is a Purple Heart recipient. “Purple Heart” is equipped with a U.S. Navy-funded satellite tag used to track the turtle’s movements and the release was conducted as part of a Navy research project with the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center.
