The 535th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, Staff Sgt. Ryan Boehm looks back as he verifies that his oygen mask is working properly before taking off for a High Altitude Low Oxygen jump with Soldiers from Special Operations Command, Camp Smith, Hawaii, and Marines from 4th Force Recon Company, Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay while at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Nov. 30.
Depending on their experience level, loadmasters and pilots must complete a certain amount of personnel, container delivery system and heavy equipment drops per semi-annual period. The loadmasters from the 535th AS, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam were able to maintain their personnel drop currencies for the year with this was jump because the jumpmasters needed to complete their jump qualifications as well.
