Soldiers with 1st Platoon, Company A, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3-2 SBCT conduct searches in a compound en route during a two-day convoy beginning Dec. 11. The Stryker Brigade headquarters and two battalions, 2-3 Inf. Reg. and 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, trekked from Mosul to their new area of operations in Baghdad. The move of the Stryker Brigade to Baghdad from Mosul marks a reunion for the Stryker Soldiers, since two of its elements, 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment and 1st Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, had been operating in the Baghdad area since the Brigade's initial deployment in late July and early August. The rest of the brigade had been based in Mosul.
