Sterling Cale, center, a sailor aboard the battleship USS Maryland during the Dec. 7, 1941, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Petty Officer 1st Class Dusty Barnes, culinary specialist, assigned to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and Frank Middleton of the National Park Service lay a wreath during a ceremony commemorating the 69th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The National Park Service and the U.S. Navy hosted a memorial ceremony to dedicate the new $56 million Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, formerly known as the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center.
