A Commander Task Group (CTG) 158.1 boarding team member takes time to introduce himself to a local mariner operating in the North Arabian Gulf Jan. 4. Boarding teams regularly board dhows to detect, deter and intercept vessels in Iraq's waters suspected of undertaking illegal activities. The primary mission of CTG 158.1 is to protect Iraq's Al Basrah and Khawr Al Amaya oil terminals.
