MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Marine combat engineers and water purification specialists with 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Logistics Combat Element establish a light weight purification system during Certification Exercise, June 9, 2017. The water produced by the “water dogs” can support a whole battalion conducting operations ashore in an austere environment. CERTEX is the last in a series of training exercises, which certifies the MEU capable for deployment in support of fleet and combatant commanders across the full range of military operations.
