A gaping hole remains on the interior of the roof of a containerized housing unit in Forward Operating Base Diamondback after a mortar attack on Nov. 26. Staff Sgt. Moshe Mayfield, a licensed practical nurse assigned to the 399th Combat Support Hospital out of Taunton, Mass., who lived in the CHU, narrowly missed getting hit by a mortar for the second time. The first incident occurred on Oct. 29 as he walked back to work from the dinning facility.
