Soldiers with the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment of Fort Campbell, Ky., drive in a convoy outside of Integrated Tactical Training Base Freedom on South Post during operations for the Exportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) Exercise on June 9, 2017, at Fort McCoy, Wis. The XCTC Exercise is coordinated by the Illinois National Guard’s 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team and Joint Forces Headquarters-Illinois. The exercise takes place for three weeks in June. XCTC is the Army National Guard’s program to provide participants with an experience similar to an Army combat training center at home station or a regional training center, such as Fort McCoy.
