Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein addresses the crowd during a basic military training graduation June 16, 2017, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Goldfein toured various JBSA-Lackland facilities and met many 37th Training Wing Airmen during his two-day visit. Every enlisted Airmen begins their Air Force career at basic military training. JBSA-Lackland is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Air Force," graduating about 39,000 Airmen annually.
