Marines and Sailors assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) gather aboard the flight deck of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship to conduct a 5k run, celebrating the 119th year anniversary of the creation of the hospital corpsman June 17, 2017. The 24th MEU is underway with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
